The National Park Service is investigating a string of recent acts of vandalism on hiking trails at Acadia National Park. Someone has been spray-painting red graffiti on several hiking trails, a crime that could prove dangerous if hikers are confused by the red markings on trees and rocks and wander off established trails, the park service said.
