Of the food produced in the United State, 40 percent is wasted. Not only could this wasted food help feed those who need it, food waste also contributes to climate change. Reducing food waste could significantly lower release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. To mark Earth Day, we'll learn what Maine people and organizations are doing to end food waste through community action and innovative solutions.
