Sen. Chloe Maxmin, 29, of Nobleboro grew up on her family’s farm in Nobleboro. Four years ago at the age of 25, the Harvard graduate was elected to the Maine House of Representatives. For the last two years, Maxmin has served in the Maine Senate, where she was appointed to the Agricultural, Conservation and Forestry Committee. Climate change and other environmental issues have been top priorities for this young senator. “Part of why I ran for office is I have been frustrated at how our political system doesn’t respond to these major crises that define the lives of my generation,” Sen. Maxmin explained.
