The Brookie Awards honor Maine’s young environmental changemakers aged 15-30 for their leadership, creativity, collaboration, and positive impact for Maine’s environment. The goal is to ensure the next generation of Maine’s environmental leaders have the skills, knowledge, and relationships they need to be successful. NRCM will select six winners this spring who’ll each receive a $2,000 cash prize, public speaking and speechwriting trainings, a short film about their work, and an invitation to a weekend-long nature-based retreat. A public awards ceremony in Portland on May 26, 2022, will celebrate the winners. FMI, check the NRCM website.
