The chaos in energy markets is unsettling for Mainers who warm their homes and businesses with heating oil and kerosene. The state’s consumers are heading into winter with average fuel prices at an all-time high. “People ask us all the time if the prices are going up or down,” Kevin Walsh, a driver for Dodge Energy, said. “We can’t tell them, because it’s so volatile.” Giordano, Dodge Energy’s manager, said, “There is no normal anymore.”
