2020 marked Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s 50th anniversary. MCHT capped its first half-century with one of the most successful years in its history:
• 34 conservation projects completed
• 1,963 acres conserved
• 5 new preserves
• 12+ miles of shoreline protected
• 4 miles of new trail added to 95 trail miles
• 40,000 acres monitored and cared for
• 219 bookings at 6 reservable campsites
• 9 student interns
• 20,563 pounds of produce grown and donated
• 880 pounds of beef donated to food pantries
• $193,000 distributed to 28+ land trusts
