Perhaps Maine Rep. Billy Bob Faulkingham, R-Winter Harbor, is correct in his support of L.D.101 – that offshore wind farms anywhere along the Maine coast would completely destroy the Maine fishing industry. But if climate change is not attenuated by an immediate reduction in our fossil fuel use, the continued ocean warming will soon destroy the fishing industry anyway. At which point, we might as well bring back wind farms. I should think a compromise is possible. ~ Richard Hackel, Chebeague Island
