LD 1033, “An Act To Allow Sunday Hunting on Private Property with Written Permission of the Landowner,” sponsored by Senator Jeff Timberlake, would allow a landowner to hunt on their own property and give permission to hunt on their property on Sundays. The bill is simple and short, and strikes a compromise between the hunting community and the non-hunting outdoors community. Sunday hunting bills have been tried and failed for 30 years, but with this bill boasting strong support it is worth taking a look at some of the history and main arguments. ~ Jared Bornstein, Wayne
