A webinar on Managing Maine’s Moose will be hosted by the state Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23. Moose biologist Lee Kantar will discuss Moose adaptations and take a look at the many ways moose are appreciated — by hikers, wildlife viewers and hunters. Discussion will also focus on some of the troubles Moose face, including winter tick, how the department studies moose, and the work being done to keep Maine’s moose population healthy and stable for the future. The session will end with questions and answers. The webinar is free and open to the public.
