But all-electric and electric hybrids are hot these days, and the rebates and tax credits that go along with them is just one sign. Maine has nearly 1.2 million vehicles on the roads; electric vehicles make up less than 1%. That’s changing. Efficiency Maine projects that within 10 years, one out of every six vehicles registered in Maine will be all-electric or an electric hybrid plug-in.
