CMP had to spend gobs of money on ads trying to convince us they really are good guys, despite a dismal track record. Now, they want us to be afraid (very afraid) that a proposed law is going to create this thing called “retroactivity”. In fact, retroactivity is a long-standing precedent; it’s standard in laws addressing misguided decisions based on half-truths.
