The Hills to Sea Trail Coalition (formerly Waldo County Trails Coalition) recently received a $10,000 grant from the Maine Community Foundation’s Conservation for All program, which is aimed at reaching underserved populations to increase outdoor use and access. The 47-mile Hills to Sea Trail passes through or borders nine of Waldo County’s 25 towns and is one of the most visible and accessible footpath trails in the region. The trail links with other footpaths, and the entire network totals more than 80 miles.
