On Tuesday , Governor Janet Mills announced that her administration, along with the Maine Secretary of State and municipal officials, has been making plans to move the state’s June primary election back by more than a month and take measures to encourage the casting of absentee ballots. “Voting is the most powerful right we have as citizens and we need to make sure all eligible Mainers can vote, safely, in person or by absentee ballot, in the June primary,” Beth Ahearn, Maine Conservation Alliance’s director of government affairs, said.
