Multiple local and state emergency agencies were to an explosion at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay Wednesday afternoon that sent a plume of smoke into the air and scattered pulp debris miles away. All employees and contractors at the mill have been accounted for, and there are no injuries. The mill is owned by Pennsylvania-based Pixelle Specialty Solutions.
